Story Telling Refelection

For me, it felt alright to hear someone else tell my story. It was kind of cool to know someone payed attention to what I was saying and tried to get it right even though she didn't know me very well. I liked that she payed attention and tried to get the details right as best she could.
Stories help build communities in a lot of different ways. First of all, they strengthen bonds and better relationships within a community. They also help build friendships as well as communicate important thoughts and ideas to those that are important to them. They can can either strengthen people, or weaken them.
For me, telling another persons story was hard for me. I tried hard to get the details down because when people miss important parts of the story or tell it wrong, it embarrasses the person. Also it's kind of nerve racking because you don't want to embarass the other person or make them mad at you.
