Current Event
The name of my story I chose to do is "Cairo artists take creative energy to the streets" from CNN. In 2011, after the revolution in Cairo, an explosion of art then followed. The people were no longer confined to exhibit their works in galleries, and more and more artists were turning humble streets into open air studios and outdoor museums. The artists began to show their beliefs and feelings towards politics and took art to the heart of the city. The revolution just created an abundant amount of art and was a representation of people feelings. This doesn't really connect that much to my life because I'm not currently experiencing a revolution and don't do art to express my feelings. However, it does relate to me in the fact that I've seen a lot of art that's had political meaning behind it and known the artist very well and shared the same beliefs.
